Reading 2015 Announcement!

Late night my local festival, Reading Festival, revealed its first three day poster and its third headliner, revealed to be indie rock heroes The Libertines. Alongside this announcement were around 50 other bands added to the lineup, including The Maccabees, The Cribs, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Turner, Bring Me the Horizon and many more.

The weekend is looking to be one of the best in recent Reading history, with a notable look towards Saturday being the return of 'Rock' day, Metallica, Bring Me the Horizon and Royal Blood all back to back. A diverse range of hip-hop acts are included too, in the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, The Creator, Run the Jewels and Azealia Banks, with the latter looking to headline the BBC 1xtra stage.

A 'special guest' slot is also currently hidden under Mumford and Sons, possibly suggesting a special surprise. It will also be very interesting to see Kendrick Lamar segue into The Libertines, and odd mix, but I have equal interest in seeing both acts. Sunday looks like the most promising day with many of the favourite bands playing back to back, although the potentially clash between Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, the Creator is going to be tough to pick between.
